He was born George Edward Kehoe Jr. in Minneapolis, Minn., to George and Mary “Perky” Kehoe, on Apr. 16, 1942. Since he was an infant, Ed was affectionately known as “Bumpy” to family and his many friends. Bumpy graduated from Benilde High School in 1960. He served as a reserve in the Marines and graduated in 1966 from the University of Minnesota Duluth campus.
In 1968, Bumpy and his friend, Phil Horner, drove west to Santa Monica, Calif., for sun and fun. He worked for Automation Industries (Century City) and then 20th Century Fox Industries as the director of finance. While at Fox, he would jokingly refer to himself as the “Accountant to the Stars.” Bumpy retired from Fox on Jan., 231, 2003, after working there for 23 years.
On Oct. 28, 1977, he married Allene Harris in West Los Angeles. They both loved to travel on cruise ships, vacationing in Kona, Hawaii, and visiting Lake Tahoe with friends every September for over 20 years. Bumpy also enjoyed playing golf, sang Roy Orbison songs, enjoyed rafting the Rogue and watching his Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Lakers.
In Feb. 2006, Bumphy and Allene moved from Westchester, Calif. to Eagle Point to be closer to family. Recently he volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul in Medford.
In addition to his wife, Allene, he is survived by his brother, John Kehoe, of Long Beach, Calif.; sisters, Kathy Kehoe, of Greenville Springs, La., Jude Kehoe, of Eugene, Mary Kehoe of Viroqua, Wisc and Patty Mingo, of Grand Rapids, Minn..
