Kathleen A. Robinson passed away suddenly in her sleep on Sept. 15, 2011, at her home in Shady Cove.
She was born in Oakland, Calif., in 1947 to William and Dorothy Lamb. She was married to her beloved second husband Jim Robinson who preceded her in death in 2006.
Kathy spent much of her life living in California, from Redding and Los Angeles to the Bay Area. She moved to southern Oregon in 1992 to be close to her parents. She was a loving wife, mother, caring friend and co-worker. Kathy worked in several fields during her life. The most prevalent being customer service, from owning and running a medical answering service, to helping people in the healthcare field at Regence. She loved to travel and was blessed to be able to see much of the world, often in search of family history. When not traveling, she was an avid reader and collector of books and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her son, Scott Simms, of Salem; step-daughter, Diana (Ed) Laramee, of Vancouver, Wash.; step-sons, Doug (Kathy) of Tigard and Mike (Cindy) of Gold Hill.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
We come from the Earth, we return to the Earth and in between we garden.
A memorial service was held Oct. 29 at Perl Funeral Home.
