Anna Marie Fugit Damon,77, of Eagle Point died Dec. 30, 2011.
Anna was born Mar. 25, 1934, in Baker, Ore. to Leo and Karee Fugit. She graduated from LaGrande High School in June of 1952.
On June 14, 1952, she married Robert Loren Damon in Pendleton, Ore. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1956. She retired from State Farm Insurance. Anna was active at her home and in past years was active with the 4-H sheep program. She was also working part-time for Harry & David Corporation.
She is survived by two sons, Bob (Melissa) Damon, White City and Dave (Leslie) Damon, Eagle Point and a daughter, Dr. Beth Damon, Eagle Point; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; as well as two sisters, Judy Shepherd of Prosser, Wash. and Melonnie Martin of Portland.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, David Fugit.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 6, at the Mace Building at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jackson County 4-H Leaders Association, in care of June Brock, 414 E.. Pine St., Central Point, Ore. 97502.
