Nathan Ashland

Nathan Ashland, 88, longtime resident of Larson Creek Apartments and also the VA “Dom” died Dec. 19, 2011. He was born Jan. 19, 1923.

Nathan served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War, with numerous military commendations, including four bronze stars. He was a lifetime member of many veteran organizations. He was a 1970 graduate of the University of San Francisco, Liberal Arts and Sciences.

A very intelligent man, he will be sorely missed by his loyal veteran friends, William Reichard and Lawrence Charles, and his many wonderful friends. Peace be unto you, Nathan.

A service for Mr. Ashland will be held at the Eagle Point National Cemetery Chapel, Friday, Jan. 6, at 1 p.m. All are invited. Special compliments to Military Order of Purple Heart, V.S.O. and S.O.R.C.C.
