On Thursday, Feb. 23, Maggie Webster, Scotland native and Eagle Point resident, will tell stories and delight those attending with readings from the Scottish Bard’s poetry and songs. Her program will be in the community room from 4-5 p.m. Maggie will also talk about the food served at a Robert Burns dinner and will explain the lure of haggis. She promises to read a few lines of poetry in Scottish dialect, foreign to our ears but lovely to hear, and feature presentation will be Burns’ poem, “Tam O’Shanter”. A bagpiper will accompany the festivities. Scottish refreshment will ve provided by Eagle Point friends of the Library. For information call 541-826-3313.
