Harry Richard Bostwick, 74, died March 17, 2012 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 25, 1937, in Waldport, Ore. He was the son of Irvin Bostwick, Sr. and Virginia Louise Coss.
Harry owned Bostwick Shoe repair for 40 years and was a Walmart greeter in Eagle Point for five years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1958. He was a member of Central Point Lions for 30 years, an OSP volunteer for three years and spent two years as a 55 Alive instructor.
Racing, fishing, hunting, joking with family and friends, reading and watching movies were his hobbies.
He married Janelle Devins on Sept. 13, 1999, in Reno, Nevada. He is survived by his wife; children, Lester Bostwick, Tory Bostwick, Windy Balogh, Nancy Bostwick, Jason Bostwick and step- children Dawn Bostwick, Loren Tyler, Keith Miller and John Miller; his ex-wife, Kay Bostwick; a brother, Irvin Bostwick Jr.; sister Virginia Ishikawa, 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The service for Mr. Bostwick will be held Thursday, Mar. 29 at 1 p.m. at Emanuel Temple, 345 Marie, in Medford with Max Grogan presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Center.
