Wildflower show, May 5-6

The Shady Cove/Trail Wildflower Association is hosting its 31st Annual Wildflower Show at the Shady Cove School gymnasium, on Cleveland St. on  May 5 and 6,from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The show will feature some 200 live spring wildflower specimens, a big plant sale, boutique, raffles, plant and wildlife presentations with botanists on hand.

Speakers will include Dennis Ellingson on the identification and use of wild herbs and other wild plants. There will be displays of local art, a BBQ and, as always, much more.

Admission is free with donations  accepted. This show has raised thousands of dollars over the years to benefit the Jackson County Fire District #4, help to purchase much needed life saving equipment for the Upper Rogue, and  other local organizations may benefit.
