Butte Falls FBLA needs support

Support has been exceptional and greatly appreciated for the Future Business Leader teams that made it to nationals the last two years. After fabulous trips to Tennessee and Florida, our seniors went off to college and the work force, and the underclassmen continue to build their FBLA teams here at Butte Falls High School.

These students have worked diligently and our new Parliamentary Procedures team passed the online test to put them in the top ten at state and the final round. In the final round they performed a mock meeting in front of the judges and placed 1st in the state! This means they have earned a trip to the FBLA National Conference in San Antonio, TX in June 2012. Along with this honor comes the task of earning the necessary money to make the trip. Each student needs to earn about $2,000.

We know that times are tough and individuals may not be able to contribute as much money as last year. We appreciate any and all donations to make sure that this amazing group of young adults gets to attend this once-in-a-lifetime event.

The whole local FBLA chapter and business class students will be participating in fundraisers to help their peers. These will include concessions, car washes and 50-50 raffles. One of these fundraisers will be a local silent auction/bingo/dinner event in May. We are seeking donations of items for this auction as well as monetary contributions.

Thank you for your help. Your donation is tax deductible. Our tax # is 93-6000528.
