First Lady Obama to be guest speaker at OSU

First Lady Michelle Obama will speak at Oregon State University’s 2012 commencement ceremony, which will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, in Reser Stadium on the OSU campus.

This will be Oregon State’s 143rd commencement ceremony and it is expected to be the largest in the school’s history – in both number of graduates, those attending commencement, and overall attendance, OSU officials say.

Adding to the in-person audience will be those viewing on television via Oregon Public Broadcasting, and online, where the ceremony will be streamed.

Mrs. Obama’s brother is head basketball coach at Oregon State University.
