Robert (Bob) Earnest Dougal (Bob), 55, returned to his heavenly home on May 7, 2012.
Born August 17, 1956 in Palo Alto, CA to Phyllis and Gene Dougal, he grew up in Emerald Hills, Redwood City, CA in a large family of nine people. As a child he loved camping, hiking, swimming, and campfires at home.
Bob worked as a carpenter in his earlier years, met and married Lynn Dougal and had his first daughter, Heather. He then worked at a dude ranch in Lake Tahoe area, moved to Sprague River, OR working as a ranch hand where he met and married Susan Ward in 1989 and had two children, Lacy and Garret.
Later in life he worked at Shy’s Restaurant, in Shady Cove, bringing his joy of life to his customers. A kind gentle man, he enjoyed music (especially Stevie Ray Vaughan) a smile to anyone he met, flowers for the ladies, always a treat of some kind to anyone he visited, and so many roses and flowers to Debby Jermain, his loving companion the past five years.
Bob is survived companion Debby Jermain and children, Heather Funk, Lacy Dougal, and Garret Dougal; siblings: Cathy Hensley, Al Dougal, Sally Caldwell, Molly Rowell, and Patricia Kitt and four grandchildren
A celebration of his life will be held on June 9, at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 110 Linn Rd, Eagle Point next to PremierWest Bank with a reception to follow.
