New Rogue River water trail map released

A new, colorful, and comprehensive map of the Rogue River has recently been produced and is now available to assist rafters, fishermen, and boaters navigating the Rogue River between Lost Creek Dam and Grave Creek.

The Rogue River map was produced by Travel Southern Oregon in conjunction with Oregon State Parks and Recreation, Oregon Fish and Wildlife, Oregon State Marine Board, Travel Oregon, Bureau of Land Management, Josephine and Jackson County Parks, regional cities and Rogue River guide companies.

“This is the first-of-its-kind map of the Rogue River”, said Carolyn Hill, Chief Executive Officer of Travel Southern Oregon.

“The goal of the map is to have an essential resource for the thousands of visitors to our region that come to enjoy the Rogue River and now have a guide to navigate it more safely.”

The water-proof, full-color Rogue River Water Trail map includes river features such as riffles, rapids and falls, as well as important landmarks, put-ins and take-outs, recreation areas, river highlights, historic references, rest rooms, camping, picnic areas, and more. The map also includes rules and regulations for safely navigating the Rogue River and colorful photos showing boat ramps and trouble spots.
