Rita L. Greb died with her loved ones by her side on Thursday, August 9, 2012, following a long illness.
Rita was born in 1938 in Durant, Oklahoma to W. I. and Beatrice Thompson. In 1951, Rita and her family moved from Oklahoma to Central Point, Oregon. Rita was one of five siblings and is survived by Bill Thompson, Glenda Greb, Greg Thompson and Terry Thompson, in addition to her sister-in-law Glenda Ann Thompson and brother-in-law Ted Greb.
She is also survived by her children, Kimila Setzer, Lori Etapa, Rob Greb and Ted Greb, in addition to her son-in-laws, Randy Setzer and Keith Etapa. Rita has twelve loving grandchildren and four wonderful great-grandchildren, with two on the way. In addition to her immediate family, Rita is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Rita attended Crater High School, the class of 1957, and retired from her position as an Office Manager at Door’s Etc. twenty-five years ago.
A celebration of Rita’s life is scheduled for Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the home of Lynn and Dave Casey, 3515 Bownsboro Hwy, Eagle Point, OR 97524. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to your favorite charity.
Rita enjoyed sewing quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those who knew her know she considered everyone a friend and she will be missed by many. Rita loved to tell, or hear, a good story and if you listen closely . . . you can hear her laughter ringing down from heaven.
