Music in the Mountains returns to Prospect

Prospect Music Festival is scheduled for September 29-30 at the Prospect Hotel. Music in the Mountains will be two full days of non-stop music ranging from bluegrass, country, folk to Americana. Hours begin at 10 a. m. on both days and a pass for each day is $18 or a two-day pass is $30.

The event is on the lawn of the Historic Hotel. Breakfast is available, carefully prepared by the staff at the Hotel. Lunch offers a choice of Prime rib French Dip Sandwiches, BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, sweet potato fries, salads and much more. Ice cream and home-made confections with gourmet candy toppings round out the deserts.

For those that would like to enjoy the music while sipping their favorite beverage, wines from Crater Lake Cellars or beers and ales from one of several southern Oregon Breweries will be available. Arts and crafts will be on display around the grounds and handmade quilts will be displayed on the veranda of the hotel.

Seating will be limited, so bring a lawn chair and enjoy the quiet and coolness of Prospect. According to hotel staff, all rooms are booked, so accommodations will have to be found elsewhere. There are plenty of campsites in the area, many of which require reservations, so make them early.
