John Bruce Hull passed away Monday October 8, 2012 at his home near Shady Cove. John was born December 31, 1949 in Astoria, Oregon, to John Brooks Hull and Carmen Lopez Hull. He attended schools in Santa Clara and Astoria. John was in the Army from 1969-1971. He served with the first Air Calvary in Vietnam. He returned to Oregon after serving his country.
John married Judy Draper August 30, 1997 in Eagle Point. He loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing and camping. John liked to compete- playing pool, darts, shuffleboard and golf. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races (Earnhardt’s), the Cowboys play and hunting and fishing shows. John also liked to dance, which he was very good at. He operated heavy equipment and had worked for Pacific Paving and Ron Hailicka of Butte Falls.
Survivors include his wife Judy, three sons, Jerry (Kayla) Hull of Grove, OK, Dale Hull of Lexington, OK, Christopher (Tressa) Hull of Fairland, OK; a step-son Erik (Lydia) Draper of Lakewood, WA; three grandsons and five granddaughters. Sister Christina Hull and cousin Manny Constance of Yuma, Az., and the “boys” Shannon Daniels, Brad Settle, Kelly and Monte Neuschwander and their families.
John was preceded in death by mother Carmen Lopez, grandmother Maria Calvo Roano Lopez and brother Jerry Labrador.
Funeral arrangements made by Perl Funeral Home. Military service was held at the Eagle Point National Cemetery on October 19, 2012, and a celebration of life was held at the Moose Lodge in Shady Cove.
