Zachary (Zack) Andrew Secrest, 43, died, at his home in Eagle Point, on November 27, 2012. He was born in San Francisco, Calif. November 15, 1969, to Rose Shaney Clark and Barry Secrest. He graduated Oregon State University in 1995 with a bachelor of science degree in construction engineering.
Zack thrived on the challenge of his work as vice president of operations for Ausland Group in Medford. He loved his job and was proud of the multiple projects in which he was involved. A member of the BMX community for over 30 years, he raced at BMX tracks throughout the U.S. and Canada. He was a fierce competitor and mentor to many in the racing community.
He is survived by his mother, Rose Shaney Clark, of Sweet Home, Ore.; father, Barry Secrest, of Yverddon, Vand, Switzerland; sister, Autumn Robinson, of Sweet Home Ore.; grandmother, Elaine Secrest, of San Mateo, Calif.; nephew, Gavin Walberg, of Sweet Home; and countless close friends that were his extended family.
A celebration of life will be held at Wooldridge Creek Winery, December 7, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Zack Secrest to the Epilepsy Foundation at www.epilepsyfoundation.org/gift.
