David E. Karlson of Shady Cove, OR went into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 17, 2013. He was born on May 21,1948 in Tacoma, WA where he spent most of his life until he and his wife, Sue, moved to Southern Oregon nine years ago.
He served in Special Forces in Viet Nam as a K-9 Dog Handler. He achieved the rank of Sergeant in the Air Force and he received a medal for his bravery while under heavy attack from the Viet Cong. He was also a former Police Officer in Washington State.
He loved music and he blessed many people with his beautiful tenor voice. He’ll be a wonderful addition to the Heavenly choir! He was also a very talented artist and writer. He loved to travel and to write about anything and everything in his daily journals. He also loved science and astronomy.
He was a deeply spiritual man. He spent many hours studying the Bible and writing in his journals about what he had just learned or discovered.
The service will be held at the Chapel at Eagle Point National Cemetery, 2763 Riley Road, Eagle Point, OR on Wed. February 27, 2013 at 11AM.
