Red Cross Celebrates Community Members at Heroes Breakfast

The annual Red Cross fundraiser recognizes community members who have made a lasting

and positive impression on the lives of others. The public is invited to participate in the celebration and recognition of local community members who have been selected as Red Cross “Heroes.” Nominated by local peers and selected by a volunteer committee of the Southern Oregon Chapter of the American Red Cross, heroes will receive awards for their extraordinary acts of courage and compassion.

The annual Red Cross Heroes Breakfast honors nominees and award winners of the 2013 Red Cross “Heroes” campaign. Award recipients will be introduced with video vignettes that showcase their acts of heroism and compassion. Award categories include: Youth Hero, Workplace Hero, Animal Hero, Education Hero, Professional Rescue/Public Safety Hero and Community Hero.

The event is March 6, beginning at 7:20 a. m. and continues until 8:45 a. m. the breadfast is at Bigham Knoll, 525 Bigham Knoll, Jacksonville.
