Bingo at the Eagle Point Senior Center is a personal experience, not the same sort of session you might find at the big Bingo halls around. This is not a fast-paced game, but caller Lenita Blake watches the players and if someone falls behind, she will slow down the calling so that everyone has a chance. She’s been calling those Bingo numbers for the past six years and puts her own little sparkle into the game by talking to individuals by name.

The Senior Center is looking for new Bingo players. The cost is based on how many cards are played – one being the least and six the maximum, unless a person thinks they can handle more. We play 9 regular games and the last two are the Progressive game with a jackpot that increases by $2 every week that it is not won. The last game we play is called “Winner Take All” – that payout is based on the amount of money collected.

We have a break between the fifth and sixth games where refreshments are served. Joyce Beeney makes sure that there is plenty of fresh popcorn and the snacks are set out for all to enjoy. Coffee, iced tea and lemonade are available.

This is a friendly group of people and we encourage anyone who would like to play Bingo to join us. You do not have to be a member of the Senior Center to play.

Show up on Mondays at the Eagle Point Senior Center a little after noon to get your cards and be ready to play…..
