Exploding fireworks are illegal in Oregon, and current dry conditions present an additional fire hazard.
Under Oregon law, only novelty-type fireworks are legal for consumer usage, and anything that flies in the air or explodes is illegal. Under city ordinance #88 Amendment 1, NO ILLEGAL FIREWORK USAGE WILL BE PERMITTED AT ANY TIME. Using illegal fireworks is a first-degree misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a fine.
