Lawrence William “Bill” Watson, 80 of Eagle Point, died Sunday, June 23, 2013, at his home.
Bill was born March 6, 1933 in Joplin, Missouri, to Lawrence and Lillian Watson. In 1951 he married Beverly Ann Reynolds. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1963 and lived mostly in the Eagle Point/White City area. Bill work as a truck driver for Interstate Stone and was known to everyone in the area as “The Lawnmower Guy”, as his hobbies included repairing lawn mowers & small engines. He was a member of Eagles and the Teamsters Union.
He has two sons; Bill Watson and Rick Watson, both of Eagle Point, and two daughters; Debbie Stevens of White City and Sandy Furst of Gold Hill. He has one sister Mabel Ebbs, of Joplin, MO. He also has seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
There will be a Remembrance celebration on July 20, 2013 at noon, at his home in Eagle Point.
