Rogue Community Health Back-to-School

Alzheimer’s Association Workshops:  Healthy Living for your Brain and Body

August 16, 2 p.m. at the Eagle Point Senior Center, 121 Loto Street.  For centuries, we’ve known that the health of the brain and the body are connected.  But now, science is able to provide insights into how to optimize our physical and cognitive activity and social engagement—and how to use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.

Eagle Point Boy Scout Troop # 48 meets the second and third Thursdays of each month.  The adult meeting is the first Thursday.  The group meets at the Eagle point Community Bible Church, 27 S. Shasta from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Gently Used Book Sale

Drop by the Eagle Point Library Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. to purchase gently read books that have been donated to the Friends of the Library volunteer group.  Currently available, non- fiction paper back and hard bound, a good selection of cook books, gardening books, biographies, self- help and travel books.

American Red Cross Blood Drive

August 21, 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Upper Rogue Community Center.  The Red Cross has a critical blood shortage and is issuing an emergency call for eligible blood donors of all blood types to give.


Family Movie Night

August 25, 5 p.m. and 7:15ish.  Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 (PG) at the Upper Rogue Community Center.  Concessions will be sold from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.  NO outside food or drinks (other than water) will be allowed at the movie.  Get a hot dog meal with chips and drink or chili nachos with drink for only $5.

Vacation Bible School at Butte Falls Community Church
