Barbara Hegne pens new history book

Prolilific author, Batrbara Hegne, has penned another history related book, this one, titled Twenty Seven years of growing: Eagle Point Historical Society & Museum is a fresh work looking at thebeginnings and later years of the Society and the surrounding community.  With many photos supporting this work,the book rcounts how the museum came into being, how the buildings –from the Long Mountain Scoolhouse to the additional buildings and the artifacts came to be a apart of the  the sceond largest collection in Jackson County.

  Hegne lists those who were an integral part of building the museum and th eobstacles that had to be overcome to make it what it has become.

Hegne has many photos that illustrate what she descibes in the text and lists the major onttibutorsresponsible  for the success of the venture.
