One of the really great sandwiches I remember from the old hometown-many years ago was a Tuna Melt.  It came from a little hole in the wall restaurant  was so packed with folks during the noon rush hour that you had to make a reservation just to get standing room.  Once you made it into the inner dining area, it was an especially great treat to sit down for a really mouth-watering seafood sandwich.  My choice was always the Tuna Melt.
