Her plans for the 2007 EPHS team pull the girls together more than just as a team, "more like a family." The style of play will be like the Olympic Volleyball, with quick sets and a great deal of movement.
Several returning players will provide a good base for the first-year coach, and she is expecting the team to do well. "I'm excited to be here," she says "we should have a good team."

Carrigan will teach math at EPHS, her first teaching assignment. Eagle Point will be like a homecoming for her, with a father, brother and cousin all at the school. She is 24.
With just two conference games remaining in the 2007 season, the Prospect Lady Cougars remained undefeated. They put down Gilchrist on Oct. 12, then doubled back the following day to clean house in a Gilchrist-hosted tournament.

During the tourney, team members Jen King, Becky Musard and Catherine Anderson were voted to the All-Tournament team.

The final two games of the season were played this last weekend. On Oct. 19, the team traveled to Triad of Klamath Falls, then returned home the following evening for the season finale against second-place North Lake.

Coach Gallagher says a first place finish in league play will assure a playoff spot with the fourth place finisher, currently Triad. Butte Falls is also in the running for that spot, so Gallagher doesn't know who they will play yet.

"Our goal has been all year to remain undefeated in League play and continue on a be in the top 8 teams in the state of Oregon," says Gallagher. "The girls are focused and competitive."
